What is Mentoring?
Mentoring is a mutual relationship and partnership between two individuals who share common interests. A mentor is a trusted adult friend with a long-term, consistent commitment to provide guidance and support. By engaging a mentor, a person should feel empowered to take greater responsibility for their lives, families and community.
On 3rd Fridays, Glitter G.I.R.L.s (12-17) meet at 7:30pm and Glamour G.I.R.L.s (18-30) meet at 8:30pm via conference call to invest in meeting their goals and seeing their dreams manifest.
“If we are unwilling to make real investments into ourselves first, and then into our dreams, we will never see them manifest.”
Are you ready to move aggressively into the 4th quarter? Are you ready to make your dreams a reality? If the answer is yes, join us and let’s commit to doing it together!
Yvonne’s Heart Mentoring Project
At Yvonne’s Heart, mentoring provides young ladies the opportunity to explore career options, higher education, seek leadership guidance, educational resources, support with developing social and decision-making skills, and continue to build a positive supportive social network.
As a mentor, we will provide access to people, places, and things outside of your daily routine and environment. Essentially, as a mentor we will help you through the Yvonne’s Heart program and help support you during different life transitions such as changing careers, getting your first apartment or strengthening your weaknesses and strengths.
Monthly group mentoring activities, including community service, confidence building, financial literacy, leadership development and entrepreneur development.
